2-bit Obit

Better to write your biography than your obituary.

Focus not on the peaks alone – the career, the money, the number of wives, kids, grandkids. ‘Cause a life of peaks alone is a mostly empty one at that. Like submerged mountains, the peaks and valleys of life are hidden by this gooey ether, this ocean of “reality” or “life” or “consciousness.” Maybe, in the end, life is just a sidewalk, mostly dull and gray but strewn with sparkles that reflect forever. But surely life is more than the four best moments it contains therein? Life is also the perspective and wisdom to appreciate those moments from a distance, and in their relation to one another, like constellations. We are stardust.
